BudgetNote is a product of YZEE Labs. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Data Collection

We collect the minimum amount of data necessary to provide our services.

1.1 Personal Information

  • Email Address: Collected during purchase to deliver your License Key and purchase receipt.

1.2 Technical Information

  • Device ID: A unique identifier generated on your device to enforce license limits.
  • Device Name: (e.g., "MacBook Pro") to help you identify your devices in the management portal.
  • IP Address: Logged temporarily during activation for security and fraud prevention.

1.3 What We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect your financial data, transactions, or budgeting information.
  • All your budgeting data stays on your device in your local vault folder.
  • We have zero access to your spending habits or financial information.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To verify your Pro License status.
  • To enforce the limit of 2 concurrent devices per license.
  • To send transactional emails (receipts, license keys).
  • To allow you to manage your devices via the self-service portal.

3. Data Storage & Security

  • Your activation data is stored in a secure database hosted by our cloud provider.
  • We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
  • Payment data is handled exclusively by Lemon Squeezy (our Merchant of Record). We never see your credit card number.

4. Your Rights

You have the right to request deletion of your data.

  • To Delete: Email [email protected] with the subject "Data Deletion Request".
  • Note that deleting your data will revoke your Pro License, since we will no longer have your device activation records.

5. Third-Party Services

  • Lemon Squeezy: Processes payments and handles tax compliance. Privacy Policy
  • Resend: Sends transactional emails (license keys, magic links). Privacy Policy

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Continued use of the Software constitutes acceptance of changes. Material changes will be noted by updating the "Last Updated" date.
